Respect Retreat

The 9th and 10th graders from Butterfield-Odin joined the Comfrey students on April 26, 2006 for a Respect Retreat. The Youth Frontiers presented an all-day program, which focused on creating a respectful and caring school climate.  During the day students from different backgrounds and social cliques worked together to learn how to embrace respect and connect with others. Throughout the day, individuals learned how to create a more positive and respectful school environment.  With the mixture of music, creativity, and humor, the leaders were able to relay their message and impact the individuals' lives. Students that participated left with a feeling of self-worth and a new meaning of what it feels like when everyone respects themselves and others.
